Reflection: For assignment five, our objective was to make two completely different solutions show transparency.  The first one was the "easy" one. We used two similar like colors to create the transparent look. The second one was the "more difficult" one. We had to use two very different colors. I definitely felt like the second was way more difficult. I had a hard time trying to find the perfect topographical colors. As an end result, I don't feel completely happy with my results, but I'd say they work. I think that my third composition, the blue on top of the red, on the #2 solutions is not very good. I feel like the topographical solution is a little too dark.

Assignment 4- Color Interaction

Reflection: I really enjoyed this assignment. I liked working with all of the colors. I feel like I learned so much more about colors than ever before. Experimenting with colors seems like a pretty simple thing to do, but in reality, colors are very complex. That makes them even more interesting to me. The first part of this assignment was called the bullies and pushovers. I had to use three different colors and make one of the three look like two different colors on the other two colors. So I used a shade of orange and a shade of green as the two background colors. The third color, a dusty rose, was placed on both the orange and green, and on the green, it made it look more pink, and on the green, it looked more purple.

The second part was the making friends. In this one, I used four different colors. I used another shade of green for one of the backgrounds, and a maroon for the other. The other two colors had to be two different colors placed on the backgrounds, but make them look like one color.

The last part was called parent/child. This one, I thought, was the most difficult. I actually did it wrong the first attempt so then I redid it. So for this one, I used a total of three different colors. I had to get two different colored backgrounds (I chose a light purple and orange) and then make the third color look like the opposite background that it's on. My third color was a beige color so on the purple background, it had to look like the orange, and on the orange background it had to look like the purple.
